for GodBlogCon2007! This year’s event will run concurrently with the biggest blog-gathering ever, the BlogWorld and New Media Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center on November 8-9, 2007.
I wasn’t able to attend last year’s conference but did get to the first one and found it more fun than I could’ve imagined. Not in a “golly gee” kind of way, but it was most invigorating and stimulating, reassuring me that all was well with the world (or with something)! Every aspect of the hosting and speaking was terrific and I met lots of bloggers, most of whom have gotten mention here at Intellectuelle at one time or another and whom I am most grateful to know.
This year’s event will be big, as I said, and the theme is "engaging the culture through the new media." The aim is to reach young people especially, as online communication is the wave of the future. Keynote speaker will be Al Mohler, Jr.; other speakers include the usual heavies plus...me! I will be speaking on ways that blogging can minister to women.
The website’s blurb says that I will speak to women, though much of what I plan to say applies to bloggers of both sexes. I hope to de-emphasize gender divides in Christian ministry and blogging and am hoping that my talk will be attended by both men and women. (Which hopefully won’t cause problems for those who believe that women should not “teach” men!)
Check out the complete list of speakers and topics, then register early and save $55!
See you there!!!
