Spider on fancy daffodil

I like the way the flower is kind of “floating” in the background; the abstraction of this plus the leaf portions makes a nice setting for displaying, if subtly, the spider.

(If I were really going to clean this up, I would edit out the shrivelled flower bit in the upper part of the photo.)

And, I wish the photo were a little lighter, which I tried, but then I lost detail on the flower petals, especially that shimmery sparkle. And I kind of like the sense of brooding lent by the darkness, enhanced by the presence of the spider, and vice-versa.
