Intellectuelle exists as a forum for all who wish to discuss matters of thought as related to faith in Jesus Christ. Years ago, C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkein, and other friends gathered to examine imaginative literature and ideas in a group called the Inklings. The Inklings "was neither a club nor a literary society, though it partook of the nature of both. There were no rules, officers, agendas, or formal elections." (W. H. Lewis)
Intellectuelle aims to be this sort of group. It offers opportunity for women to post, and for all readers, women and men, Christian believers and not, to participate in discussion via comments. We seek to facilitate high-quality analysis that cuts through stereotype, trend, and cliche. An ecumenical group of orthodox believers, our membership represents various Protestant and evangelical denominations as well as the Roman Catholic Church.
