It's Been Surreal

I conceived and birthed this blog just two months ago, but I'm only its surrogate mother. So I'm letting my baby go, knowing she will thrive with her six moms and one dad. Because I've learned that one real life baby (plus a preschooler) and one virtual baby (my own blog) is as much as this newbie parent can handle.

Having made me a visionary and very relational (though introverted), God always uses me to start new endeavors that bring people together based on a commonality...but sooner or later removes me from the scene. This is my first experience with "blog planting" (i.e. networking and ministering soley through writing without any actual human contact) so that's why I say it's been surreal.

It's also been very cool. Only God could have handpicked such a diverse and dynamic group of women, not to mention gifting us with an incredible sponsor. I'm sad to be leaving my post but I'm grateful for my role and proudly (yet humbly) accept the title "Intellectuelle Emeritus." That way I can sneak in an occasional guest post every once in a great while. Of course I'll also be hanging out in the comments and rehashing stuff on my own blog.

...wait, there's more...every team needs a captain, so now that I'm jumping ship, Sarah is taking the helm. She's right for the job in many ways, but it's especially fitting since she and Joe (our sponsor) are co-workers. They can blogstorm ideas for Intellectuelle during coffee breaks and implement them during their lunch hour ::winking face::

You've done a great job Marla. Hope we do see you in the comments - I'm sure we have more to disagree...er I mean agree on. (Big grin).
Heads up to Sarah too - I enjoy your posts Sarah and your kindness.

Marla, this brainchild of yours is a great thing and though I'm sorry to see you go, I know that you will continue to invest yourself in worthy projects.

Catez, thanks for your comment, I appreciate the encouragement. I'm glad my kindness has shown, I've certainly bit my tongue (sat on my fingers?) enough with a few of the people leaving comments!

It's sad to see you go, but then you're not really going anywhere after all. :) Thanks for your dedication to getting this off the ground, Marla.

Thanks for your posts and creativity Marla. You will be missed.

I look forward to reading more posts by Sarah now, especially since I know her theological convictions and her desire to see women grow in the grace and in the knowledge of Christ. I hope she also let's her great sense of humor show :-)

Adding my "you have done a great job" to the crowd. It couldn't have happened without your special talents. I think you have launched something remarkable.

To everything there is a season....

Well, Marla, I am sad to see you go, but I am happy to see the reactivation of your personal blog! So we lose your posts here, but we gain your posts on your own blog. And I am sure you won't be able to resist commenting here! Thanks for getting this thing off the ground and for your kind leadership and thoughtful posts.

Blessings to you!
