I conceived and birthed this blog just two months ago, but I'm only its surrogate mother. So I'm letting my baby go, knowing she will thrive with her six moms and one dad. Because I've learned that one real life baby (plus a preschooler) and one virtual baby (my own blog) is as much as this newbie parent can handle.
Having made me a visionary and very relational (though introverted), God always uses me to start new endeavors that bring people together based on a commonality...but sooner or later removes me from the scene. This is my first experience with "blog planting" (i.e. networking and ministering soley through writing without any actual human contact) so that's why I say it's been surreal.
It's also been very cool. Only God could have handpicked such a diverse and dynamic group of women, not to mention gifting us with an incredible sponsor. I'm sad to be leaving my post but I'm grateful for my role and proudly (yet humbly) accept the title "Intellectuelle Emeritus." That way I can sneak in an occasional guest post every once in a great while. Of course I'll also be hanging out in the comments and rehashing stuff on my own blog.
...wait, there's more...every team needs a captain, so now that I'm jumping ship, Sarah is taking the helm. She's right for the job in many ways, but it's especially fitting since she and Joe (our sponsor) are co-workers. They can blogstorm ideas for Intellectuelle during coffee breaks and implement them during their lunch hour ::winking face::
