According to a study on religion and child development, children were more likely to report feeling sad or lonely when their parents argued frequently about religion.

I'd say that children would report the same feelings about their parents arguing about anything. This seems like a commonsense conclusion, do we need studies for these things?
I think that an even greater sadness comes from homes where there is no mention of God, or religion at all...

No two people agree completely on religion. To avoid arguments and spare the children, I propose that no one ever discuss religion in front of children again.

There is no mention of God or religion in my home except when we are discussing the beliefs of others. We are atheists. As far as I can tell, my wife and I and our children are at least as happy as the theist families we know. It's funny the things people assume about others based on their own feelings.
