#34 No More Foam -- From Tricks of the Trade: "Hate waiting for the suds to dissipate when filling up a cup of fountain soda? Hold the cup at an angle when you fill it. This gives the carbonation more space to escape as the cup is filling, and you'll find that by the time the cup is full, the suds are already gone. No more filling, waiting, filling, waiting."

#39 URL Hack -- TinyURL is a great way to shorten a URL down to a more manageble length. But if you want to be able to remember the URL try Doiop.com, which lets you name the reduced link. For example, I can take the URL for this blog's Technorati search (http://www.technorati.com/cosmos/search.html?rank=&url=www.evangelicaloutpost.com) and create a keyword shortcut (http://doiop.com/technorati) that will take me straight to the results.

The "No More Foam" tip also works with beer. Knowledgeable consumers, however, know that you should not tip the glass when pouring beer, as a good head enhances the flavor. (Finally a post where I can show my useful knowledge!)
Joe,
You might want to empty your email account that you have linked here on your blog. I just tried to email you a critque of conservative Christian objections to libertarianism, but your mail server said that your inbox was full. What gmail account are you using these days?
Yay! I almost gave the wrong answer on the Wason Card problem, but I thought about it, changed my answer and got it right!
Me smart!
The best way to dispense with soft drink foam is to stick your finger (assuming you've washed your hands) into the middle of it. Don't know why it works, though.
I've never posted a comment in your blog before, but I just want to say that I absolutely adore your "Yak shaving" series.
... all the profound Christian thought is also a plus ;-)
Keep up the good work.
This one: "#33 Firefox Shortcut -- Switch between your open Firefox tabs by using Ctrl + Tab"
...is just for Windows users. On Debian Linux it changes between workspaces. If anyone out there knows how to change that behavior I'd be interested.
The Wason Card problem is wrong for the reasons that Jan mentions on the second page (basically, the vowel/evens question is not equivalent to the age/beer question). To actually know the answer you need to turn all of the cards over on the vowel/evens problem.
