Happy Birthday Marines!

Happy 229th birthday to my brothers and sisters in the worlds finest fighting force. Although it's been a tough year, the Marine Corps has shown once again that we are always ready to answer our country's call (but if for some reason we're not available, you can always leave a message on our answering machine).

Gotta love the Marines. When you find yourself in a tight spot there is nothing more beautiful in the world than a hollowed-eyed killer Marine coming to save your ass. I love 'em all.

Happy Birthday Marines and today for Veterans Day, Red Skelton's Pledge of Allegiance. I heard this many moons ago but it is still moving to hear Red Skelton describe how a teacher he had defined the Pledge of Allegiance. Pass this on to friends, family and co-workers.

A belated happy birthday.

ooorah INDEED!!!! Belated best wishes. USMC (1st. MAW)'46-'68 Like Zell Miller says..."..all I need to know I learned in the Marine Corps..." Needless to say, I had some doubts upon arrival at Parris Island in February, 1946, but after about 13 weeks someone had finally put this wayward child on the right path..
God bless America and God bless the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS....first to fight!!!
