What if the DNC replaced CNN?

Yesterday, during my daily ten-minutes worth of non-blog reading, I came across the following statement:

But one has to wonder whether anything would be lost if the news corporations went out of business and we got our political information directly from competing local party offices.*

After I thought about it I realized that most of the political news and information I get comes from reading other blogs. Is it possible that just such a shift is currently underway? And if so, how will affect the quality of information that we receive?

I thought the DNC did take over CNN. Most everyone knew that the initials "CNN" meant

Clinton News Network

after their pro-Clintonic, politically correct, deemed disagreers as 'racist', and their support of Janet Reno's handling of the Elian Gonzalez situation in Miami resulted in outrage and the CNN satellite truck being overturned and damaged beyond broadcasting.

I recently compared the Blogosphere to a third world bazaar, as opposed to the traditional news media, which is more akin to a Wal-Mart SuperCenter.

While the flavors and varieties availible in the bazaar are much more interesting, they are often of questionable freshness, quality, and origin. Variety does not guarantee nutrition.

And what with all the labelling requirements of the SuperCenter, it IS possible to obtain a balanced diet -- but you do have to work at it. However when all but 10 minutes of your daily reading comes from blogs (the bazaar), you should watch out for certain vitamin dificiencies.

Watch what you eat, but sample a bit of everything -- in moderation.

And remember that the best whole-grain oats and free range protiens are available at the public library, not at wal-mart or in the bazaar.
