EO 3.2 (Beta version)

I've changed the style/format of this blog three times over the past three years and have included two variations on a theme. About halfway through--when its too late to turn back--I remember what an incredible frustrating, tedious, and time consuming process it can be (I spent 6 hours with Photoshop before given up on changing the logo). For as much time as I put in you'd think there would be a more radical difference in design and function.

There are still a number of bugs left to be worked out so bear with me as we make the transition. I'm hoping that some of the new features will be useful and improve the value and usability of this blog. Tomorrow I'll explain what has been added and what is still to come. If you notice anything that I might be overlooking, please let me know.

Update: Well, that was a bit more buggy than I thought. I'll work the kinks out and have it back up later in the week. For now, I'll put the old, dark, drab style back in place. Thanks for all the input and I apologize for the mess.

Please test it in Firefox-based browsers. Currently:

- The header image is shifted far to the right (insert political joke here)
- There are gaps between the navigation menu and the line below it, and in various places on the rest of the page.

Most of these problems are probably due to trying to develop a valid stylesheet while using IE as your main browser. IE's incredibly broken CSS box model doesn't interpret CSS correctly.

It's much better to use Firefox to develop your website, then make small fit and finish changes so it looks right in IE.

I don't see any sidebars. I don't know if you haven't finished those yet or if they're supposed to be there but not showing up.

Also, the viewable window doesn't fit in my browser. It includes the whole white section and the blue areas on each side where the sidebar probably is supposed to be. But then there's a white sidebar area to the right of the blue. That doesn't appear in the window. I have to scroll over to it. Part of the header at the very top is in that part, so it isn't visible without scrolling to the right.

I'm using Firefox also.

I like it - easier to read. Only thing for me is the centre column is a little too far left (your politics are all over the place here!).
Seriously - cuts off the first letter if sentences (or couple of letters). In IE.
