South Dakota Abortion Ban
{Day 8}

Jeffrey Collins from JoyfulChristian took the lead on the story today by pointing out that South Dakota's governor Mike Rounds says he's not sure if he'll sign the bill if it passes.

Personally, I think that Rounds withholding his opinion about whether he would sign it or veto it is laudable considering he has not seen the final wording yet. Rounds is pro-life and it will be surprising if he were to decide not to support the bill once it has been passed by the legislature. He has expressed his concern that his premature endorsement of the bill might unfairly influence the final voting. On such a contentious issue it is only right that the legislature appear to have decided the matter on their own accord.

Tomorrow I’ll address some of the claims that this bill is really nothing that hasn’t been tried numerous times in other states (naturally, I disagree or I would not have put so much effort in trying to draw attention to this bill). In the meantime, please show your support to the bloggers who have refused to let this story fade away:
